J entered The Primate Fiasco late in the game, stumbling upon each other at a PF show. He was quickly hired as a temporary sub which served as an audition to be called back almost two years later for the permanent seat. In the previous years, J has accomplished several educational and performance tasks including becoming an MTEL licensed Music educator and performing in an award winning theatrical production in Serbia. He's also a professor for the "College for Kids" program at WSC where he constructed and taught a class entitled "Rockology: The essentials of Rocking Out" which was a smashing success.
Now that he's with The Primate Fiasco, he offers a clean yet gnarly foundation for the rest of the band to groove on. His imaginative baselines (being a skilled bass player) as well as his flexible brass stylings mark a turning point in fiasco history.
He has studied bass with Richard Downs, Heshima Moja, and is currently studying with Jeffery Dostal. He has studied Tuba with Tim Atherton out of Westfield State College. Composition and Music theory teachers include Dan Kennedy and Jim Argiro. In the past he has studied at the Community Music School in Springfield, and also has been to The National Guitar Workshop on scholarships for 3 seasons.
